Driver breaks both arms evading breath-testing checkpoint
A driver who crashed into a parked car in a bid to evade a police breath-test checkpoint has broken both arms in the collision.
According to Stuff, the driver of the car sped off after seeing the police checkpoint on Grey St in Hamilton East in the early hours of this morning.
Police went to find the car and found a crash scene, the result of the fleeing car colliding with a parked vehicle.
Stuff reported that the driver had broken both arms while a passenger had sustained a broken jaw and ankle.Advertisement Advertise with NZME.
St John said both patients were in a serious condition and were transported to Waikato Hospital.
